Introduction

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an antibiotic-resistant bacterium that is carried on the skin or in the nose by some persons. In susceptible individuals it can cause potentially life-threatening infections (e.g. pneumonia, sepsis). This website is a demonstration of a published model. It shows that the probability of carriage can indeed be predicted using personal attributes such as age.
